A collaborative research and design process across multiple brands and countries

In summer 2022 we started a journey to build a travel app that will be used by a variety of brands within the DER Touristik Group all over Europe. The ambitious goal was to get a first version out in only six months – from scratch. After a solid alignment process in the beginning of the project we needed to create an effective process to collaborate between the external concept and design agency from Germany and the local digital departments in Stockholm and Prague. 

We want to share our experience on how to effectively align on research, the insight that customers probably aren’t necessarily that different as we might have thought and of course also share all the mistakes we made.
